We have deliberately designed this model with thicker handle sections so that the angler has a really firm grip and can cast his rig "over the horizon". In addition, the distance from the reel seat to the end of the handle is slightly greater than with standard rods. This model is recommended for competition anglers and ambitious anglers who want or need to fish long distances.
